How to Trim a GIF

  2. Set the range - Use the Start and End frame inputs, or navigate to a frame and click "Set Start" / "Set End". The visual timeline shows the selected range in teal.
  3. Preview - Use play/pause and arrow buttons to scrub through frames. The highlighted range shows exactly what will be kept.
  4. Export - Click "Trim & Download" to create the shortened GIF.

FAQ

Does trimming reduce file size? Yes - fewer frames means a smaller file. If you cut a 100-frame GIF to 30 frames, it'll be roughly 70% smaller.
Can I trim from the middle? This tool cuts a continuous range - set any start and end point. To remove frames from the middle, trim twice to create two clips.
Is my GIF uploaded anywhere? No - all processing happens in your browser. Your file never leaves your device.
What if the exported GIF is too large? Try the GIF Compressor to reduce quality/colors, or the GIF Resizer to shrink dimensions.
